Baseball fans love a good scoreboard — and with World Series Squares, you can turn every inning into a spreadsheet‑powered thrill. Whether you’re running a friendly office pool or tracking stats with friends, Excel makes it easy to organize, score, and celebrate each inning’s winner.
What is World Series Squares?
Think of it as the baseball version of Super Bowl Squares. You create a 10×10 grid — one axis for the American League team, the other for the National League team. Each square represents a unique score combination.
But here’s the twist: this pool uses progressive scoring. Instead of paying out based on the inning’s score alone, you pay based on the cumulative score at the end of each inning.
How Progressive Scoring Works
At the end of every inning, look at the total score so far for each team. The square matching those totals wins. If the same score repeats in later innings, that same square wins again. When a new run changes the total, the winning square updates to match the new cumulative score. This is all calculated automatically by formulas.
